Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a holistic way of treating the body using gentle manipulative techniques to restore the body's natural functions.
The aim of Osteopathy is restoring the body's full range of movement whilst eliminating sources of pain or discomfort.
Our goal at Backstop Osteopaths is to educate the patient so they understand the issue and therefore return to full function as quickly as possible. We utilise a wide variety of techniques, including massage, stretching, manipulation (or "clicking"), and exercises for homework if necessary, as part of most treatments.

Corporate Osteopathy

Osteopathy can benefit not only the individual but also the wider workforce and thus the company they form a part of. Over time the daily stresses and strains that the body is subjected to build up with the body compensating as best it can. In the modern workplace with long hours of repetitive actions this can result in shortening and tightening of muscles, restrictions in the spine and joints leaving the body vulnerable to further and more serious dysfunction.
